From "The Nutcracker" a few weeks ago. Not my usual type of shoot, but it turned out ok.

Super! I love the action in #2 and it's a strange effect in #1 how the spots on the subject make it look like confetti floating in the air between the subject and camera.

That was actually a snow effect that the stage crew manufactured. I was glad I was able to capture it. In person, it was much more obvious well above the dancer's heads. By the time it trickled down to them, it was a lot less obvious. This was one of the better results.

It looks like the effect was done with light as opposed to matter, if so it was done very well...

I was way in the back, but I am pretty sure they released some sort of confetti kind of stuff to create that. The stage lights hit it as it fluttered to the ground, of course.

Thank you. Honestly- I am always surprised how well most stage lights light the intended subject. It's often a really dark room but a fairly bright subject.

I enjoy shooting theater... wish I did it more.
