My 27” 2TB iMac has been running Sierra just fine when purchased new in July of 2017.

Just thinking out loud if now would be a good time to upgrade the OS to Mojave.

More importantly is the flow for LR Classic and PS? No issues etc.

As we have a few unexpected power failures in my neighborhood, I invest my time in driving 25 minutes tonmy local Apple Store and having all of my OS upgrades done there. Everything is checkout working and on my way home.

Last month I did add 16 GB of RAM for a total of 24 GB RAM.

Any new additional features in this OS or “ if it ain’t broke..... don't fix it”.

Thank you.

I stuck with Snow Leopard for years, and I'm now on Sierra, my first question with all Apple OS upgrades is what is in it that's actually useful over what I have, and what will the new OS break.

At the moment I can't see any need to upgrade, for me anyway.

I held off on upgrading to Mojave mostly due to reported issues about Canon printer drivers (my main business). Called Canon support and they told me that I would get warnings, but everything would work properly and updates would be available before the next OS update.

Did a full backup, followed by a clean install of Mojave, restored the previous apps and did fresh install of Adobe apps (LR Classic 8.1 & PS CC2019). All work beautifully and quite snappy. I do get the occasional warning that the Canon drivers will not work with the next upgrade, but so far doesn't affect me.

Running a Mac Mini Late 2012 server, 16GB Ram, 2TB SSD main drive, 1 TB spinner secondary internal HD, 2 4GB Raid 1 Thunderbolt drives, 2 2k Displayport monitors.

Zero problems on my 2017 iMac with latest Mojave and latest Lr Classic and Ps. Would definitely never install Lr CC given a choice. No problem using our Pixma Pro 1 and Pro 100.

Same. 2015 MacBook Pro. I just let the App Store install over my previous OS (not a clean install).

I had an issue--it rearranged all of my lightroom brushes. Super annoying!
