I was at the ball park with my daughter, and just took a couple of shots to check my camera settings. This is one of them. After I got home, my wife and I both said WOW, that turned out good.
The sun was just starting to set, and I really caught the light well.

Chris, are there two bases? Both have chalk lines, and at least one is in foul territory.

Yes, there are two bases. ASA started putting double bases at first, to cut down on the collisions between the runner and first baseman. The first baseman covers the white, while the runner hits the orange base.

Boy, those umpires must have a time of it. I'd like to see more pix from that day at the park. I'm in northeast PA, and coach an American Legion team here. Last night was supposed to be the first pre-season high school game, but it rained. Today was supposed to be the second, and it snowed. Can't wait to see our bases again.
