Anyone in the UK tell me where I can get a 70 200 F.28 IS MKII (NOT the MKIII) lens, other than Amazon.

Tried Jessops, Wex, Park cameras and John Lewis who, until recently all stocked this item. Now it has been replaced by the Mark 3 its been dropped like the proverbial hot potato.

I can (just) afford £1600 I can't justify £2100 odd for the Mark 3 it seems not a lot different either.

Looking for a supplier who can Fedex in the UK, anyone know a shop/Chain who could do that?

Thanks.

Some of these perhaps?

I have always found Amazon customer guarantees and customer service to be very good, despite many not wanting to use it.

I'm in the USA, but I recently purchased a new gray market (i.e. non-USA) version II on Ebay when they had a coupon for 10% off up to $100. I don't know what the Ebay situation is in your area, but I thought I would mention the possibility.

A quick check in B&H has it in stock. I am sure that other US stores have it as well.

I am not sure what the situation might be with import duties, but you are looking at GBP 1382 at today's conversion rates.

Thanks John, Ex Demo. No ta! ( Thanks to other posters too, would only buy UK unless was in the USA on hols)

I would like a new one, preferably from a local(ish) store Looks like it's Amazon now.

The mark 2's have all gone into hiding since the release of the Mark 3. Unfortunately (not liking credit) I saved ( in a roundabout way , thank you gorgeous wife) enough cash for the mark 2.

Now Canon bring out a Mark 3 with - according to some testers, not much difference, other than the £500 odd price. Ho hum.

.

Camerworld are a "bricks and mortar" store (3 stores actually) and are £100 cheaper than Amazon.
