Looks like “round” is the next flash battle field.

OP meant Round Head Accessories Adapter S-R1, not the accessories themselves. S-R1 is on pre-order status at Adorama. I'm getting it (and the accessories) for my Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2's. Nice move by Godox.

Yes the accessories are available but the adapter(square to round), is not.

I may not be the village idiot, but I'll do until
he gets here.

The barn door for the AD200 fits the 860 with slight modification, I think the S-R1 would fit the AD200's fresnel head too. Oh well for $6.90, I am going order one to find out:-D

S & H cost more than the product itself, so I'm going to wait until it shows up on eBay or Amazon.

You are right, lol. Adorama should give away that adapter as promotion for current speedlight purchases before the real round head flash comes out

Someone clever really needs to CAD a plastic ring with a few little indentations and upload it to thingiverse, so we can add four drops of crazy glue, some tiny magnets and a gel and and make our own versions of these:

I'm still waiting for the actual round-head speedlite to come out. It was rumored to be out this winter but seems to be behind schedule a bit.

Is that a magnetic ring holding the gel? Is it homemade, or commercially available?

Thanks.

Owen.

It's the standard spill kill/reflector that comes with the Orlit RT 400 HSS strobe, witch Adorama sells separately.

https://www.adorama.com/orlfrl400rtb.html (external link)

The 4 tiny magnets are in bedded in the outer plastic reflector housing, any metal/iron piece will stick to it. One of gel rings is a frosted diffuser, I found that it does hold down a regular piece of gel well.

As with the Godox AD pro lines ,the smaller 5.5 inches Orlt allows the umbrella shaft seated next to the reflector, rather than goes though it. Makes gelling an umbrella easier.

Also I have Godox 6/7" reflectors with umbrella holes at 3 different locations, none of them would align with my Orlit AC strobe (did not come with a reflector).
