The person posted it saying that it was really cheap because the mirror wasn’t reinforced but their photo looks like the fix was done?

Agreed. The strips would be overhanging on the sides of the mirror, and this has definitely not been done on this mirror.

Keep in mind that not all 5Ds needed the mirror fix. That problem was limited to early production runs.
