I see the 5D4 doesn't have a clock battery like the previous 5D3 did. Assuming the clock runs off the main LP-E6n battery, how long will the clock continue to work when I take the battery out to recharge it? Thanks.

apersson850 Obviously it's a good thing More info | Jan 30, 2019 04:31 | #2 There's some kind of super capacitor, or whatever it is, inside to keep it running. I've never waited long enough for it to stop on my camera with the same design. Anders

I called Canon and as a previous response said the clock runs off a capacitor that gets charged by the battery. When the battery is out of the camera the capacitor is good for about two weeks. 1DX MK II, 5D MKIV x2, 24L II, 35L II, 50L, 85LIS, 100LIS Macro, 135L, 16-35LIS, 24-105LIS II, 70-200LIS, 100-400LIS II
