sandisk ultra vs extreme

hi

wanting to pick a bunch of ultra cards for my camera got a good deal on a big bunch of sandisk cards all genuine

I am using a canon T6 and shoot only full HD video.

please help..

The article suggests Transcend, but that I think is driven by price. Either of the Sandisk will work just as well in a T6.


Likely either are fine. But I would use care in buying something "all genuine."

The point is, and this is my opinion, most importantly buy from a reputable source. I would not buy using online sources except for the big reputable sources like Adorama or B&H. My personal choice is to buy from a local Best Buy when what you want is on sale. I know a regional manager and he has told me that BB buys directly from the Sandisk importer by the thousands, and then distribute as needed down to the local stores. The product goes from Sandisk > Best Buy. There is no middle man to worry about and thus the chance of a counterfeit card is minimized. "Yes" the card might be $2 more than it is from some unknown online source, but I know the source.

full HD video only require class10 kind of speed, so both Ultra and Extreme and up will do. From reliability point of view, get Extreme. The memory quality is better. But no need spend extra for Extreme plus or pro because for your application, the increase in speed even when compare to Ultra won't matter at all.

In memory tests of the T6, the Sandisk Extreme 95MB/sec tested as fast as 78MB/sec, while the fastest of the Ultra 40MB/sec tested at 41MB/sec.

It must be understood that some Extreme are NOT as fast...the Sandisk Extreme 45MB/sec are measured down to 41MB/sec, so all Extreme are NOT FASTER than Ultra necessarily!

Personally I would go extreme or even extreme pro if its a reasonable price
