I'm probably shy or introvert and therefore feel uncomfortable photogrphing people.

But, I found myself in a situation the other day (at a local shoping center comic-con type event), where my buddy didn't show. So, I either had to go home or interact with the people there - glad I did.

Then this past weekend, I was invited to join a small group at the Black Country Living Museum (Turn of the century industiral heriatage museum) for a 1930's-1940's photshoot - their regular re-enactors and a few togs:

Great work, Lawrence! Great bravery, too! I shoot fashion and am an extreme introvert. I appreciate what it takes to choose to do the shoot when it would be far easier to not do it. Bravo!

I'm not unconformable, but I can't get decent shot like OP did even for people whom I know. :)

Very nice set. I really like the period shots. Not because of anything technical... I just like period shots.

Thank you for all the positive comments - I am encouraged to do another session with the re-enactors.

Regarding the re-enactor photos (specifically the Woman, the Man, the Child and the Pram ;-)a), I have printed them out A3, mounted them in Ikea frames and given them to a local care home (where my mother resides with vascula dimentia).

Having spoken with the staff previously, it is common for a resident (patient) to regress to a time of their childhood, and the contents of those photos would be familiar to those in the home.

I have promissed to donate additional photos as and when I return to the museum.

Lawrence
