I just printed my first aluminum panel and now need to protect it. I am looking for a glossy finish but don't have a laminator and with the special laminate needed most places don't have this anyway just regular plastic type laminate. Breathing Color only recommends a roll on or spray on matte finish not a glossy as they have had issues from customers.

I would like to know if anyone has put a glossy coat on the panels they have printed and what they used to give it a glossy look.

Thanks

Just thinking out loud here, but is it possible to apply a glossy over a fully-dry matte for this scenario?

Apparently there is a matte finish but no glossy that I know, Also an epoxy has been poured over it to create depth but that process is messy and not something I would like to deal with. That's why I threw it out there to see what folks have done, I would imagine that a matte would take a coating?

I don't actually know, because I've never dealt with such things.
I expect Breathing Color has good reasons for suggesting what they do,
presumably to preserve the print's integrity.
I was simply wondering if their recommended coating(s) would then
be stable enough to accept the glossy finish you're ultimately after.
