Good morning all,

I've just bought a selection of 100mm & 100mm x 150mm Lee filters which obviously work in conjunction with the foundation kit.

However, if I want to use a polarising filter too, what's the best way to go about this.

I can see they offer a 105mm one that screws in to the adaptor ring (I think), but i'm really looking for advice from those that use the system and also use a polariser with it, before I go spending more money

TIA all

There is a drop in polariser you can use with the holder.

I strongly advise NOT to use a screw-in polariser and then screw the holder to it: I bent mine that way.

Thanks Alveric, don't worry, I wasn't going to be screwing anything into anywhere I shouldn't - it can be difficult enough getting a polariser off of where it's been screwed, in normal circumstances sometimes

Any ideas how a drop in polariser would work, as you obviously have nothing to twist as per a circular one, to get the relevant effects?

Actually, yes, you do twist it. The drop-in polariser is a round one, except without the screw-in thread; you insert it in a slot of the filter holder and then rotate it to get the polarising effect you need.

It seems that Lee has updated their polariser, though: http://www.leefilters.com/index.php/camera/polariser (external link)
