For LR, I pay the monthly fee. If you get that $7 per month plan, it is not bad as full version costs similar or more and then you need to upgrade if and when you buy a new camera. For that $7 per month you get LR and PS. I don't think you can even buy stand alone PS anymore. For C1, I will go with the perpetual license. Just need to decide if I should spend $80 for all camera option.

Adobe will run specials every so often. When I find it I will pay for it and the deal stacks. So one can pay multiple years if you want to.
