The M50 one isn't great at all. If you want to transfer shots with wifi and shoot a game, the battery won't make it through, you will have change out at least once. For a casual vacation shoot the family/kids/scenery, it will be fine.

For a hardcore shooter I think they are anticipating a dual card pro version of the EOS R. And a non issue for a legion of purchasers around the world. vadenphotography.com

My 24-70 f2.8 is a 27-77 f2 on the M50. It will shoot 10fps, has the touch flip screen, 24Mpx sensor, at 1/2 the cost and about the same battery life. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

The RP affords me a gateway to the RF lenses, that is the advantage I see to this release for me personally. Adapter = disaster once you mix in native lenses Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

Not sure what you mean about the adapter. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

I didn't say it was great, but assumed most users won't be transferring files on the fly and shooting sporting events professionally. Mark

MSRP and going rate at reputable vendors shows it's not cheaper,. $1,500.00 vs. $1,300.00 for the RP? GEAR LIST

If I do, it will be some nice white L EF lenses at greatly reduced prices. That's the great thing about EF lenses, they'll work on almost any body most of us would consider in the near future - Canon DSLR, EOS R/RP, Sony.
