Here are a couple of my photos from a recent indoor track meet. Nice flat, even lighting. Both images shot with a Canon 1D Mark IV with 70-200 2.8 IS at 4000 ISO 1/500 at 2.8 and 3.2 shot in RAW for local newspaper use.

Duckster, in your photos at the top of the thread, the top picture is screaming to be shot vertically. In the bottom one, tilt down a little to prevent cutting off their feet. Good sharpness, lack of grain and exposure. Keep it up!

Our team and coaches just cleared 12 inches of snow from all 8 lanes of the track last Sunday. They are out there every day, even with high temps in the teens. That is dedication and dedication produces sucess
