What I am not understanding, is WHY would you want a 30D, when you have a much, much superior 5D.....it's insane...

Its ok to have a few camera bodies, especially ones as nice as the 5D and 30D.

The 5D is not a sports photography powerhouse, so for some the 30D's 5fps and longer bursts make it better suited. For others, 20/30D is a very capable and cost-effective second body (though I still haven't figured out why you need more than one body).

The 5D is really a specialized tool that gives up some speed (and a LOT of affordability) for the amazing image quality. Those who worship the 5D and tell everyone to get one might note that the 30D costs less than half, is almost twice as fast, and shoots at a not-too-shabby 8.2mp.

Lucky for you Norman Camera is right around the corner. You'll be amazed at the EF-S 10-22mm too.

haha, yes indeed! I pass it daily going to work. Sometimes I just stop in and look around for the fun of it; getting to know everyone inside.

The 10-22 is going to be great, because I love nothing more than landscapes and architecture! :)

I get excited everytime I pass by that store!
