I know the *bulk* of the heat goes out the back; but how does proximity still not BBQ the pilot? :|

This reminds me of the first Darwin Awards story I ever read about the guy that strapped a JATO (jet-assisted take-off) unit to the back of a Chevy Impala. Suffice it said, it didn't end well.

Reminds me of what James Bond would have.
Mooch about at 30 mph on the petrol engine then hit the takeoff button for action when challenged.

How on earth could they steer it? The mind boggles.
Is it still in action or gone into orbit?  :p
