Yup! Helioseismology is sweet, also we have far side mapping and imaging of the sun, so we can see active regions long before they face us on the disc so we can be prepared. It's a great time for solar, cycle 25 is coming in quick. The AR2786's big spot is really sweet! You can see it with your bare eyes with a visually safe film filter (like used for eclipse viewing, etc). No scope needed. I looked at it yesterday with basic visual film with just my eyes. It's bigger than Earth, so it's easy to spot. From the Northern hemisphere, it appears towards the bottom of the disc.
