A couple of macro oddities

I think it's the egg cluster of a mollusc of some kind - about 4mm in diameter

egg sac was my guess, interesting find and of course great to have the collembola investigating.

It looks something like the egg sacs of some insect species. Dark, linear structures are visible in or between some of the eggs. Could it be an egg sac of the springtails themselves? Maybe they're tending it or guarding it.
