Thinking of an 18-135 lens, but which one ?

As above im thinking of getting an 18-135 canon lens for my 80D.
which is the better image quality between the 18-135 usm nano and the 18-135 stm ?

I own the older one (STM), it's tack sharp and has never let me down.

I have both and can’t really see any difference in image quality.

If you afford it, get the Nano USM version. I like the faster focus, the locking lens hood, and modern looking design elements.

I have both, the STM on a 700D and the nano-USM on an 80D.

From what I remember from reviews, there is not much difference in image quality.

I am not a pixel peeper, I am happy with both but I'd recommend the nano-USM if you can afford it as I feel that nano-USM is the way forward. It has faster focusing and I think that STM was a stop-gap measure for Canon to quickly get quieter focusing lens on the market for those wanting to shoot video.

I have both of these lenses. I would agree that I really can't tell much difference in IQ but I do think that the Nano USM has a faster focus speed
