I'm planning to do receptions with a stofen, umbrellas and bare flash. I remembered having a Rogue flash bender and want to start using it more. I typically use my speedlites in the same Godox S type brackets as my 360s. And slipping my speedlite through the bracket first, there seems just enough space to strap the Rogue flashbender.

Has anyone else tried this combination to modify?

I mount Phottix receivers beneath my lights, so that's why I opt for the brackets to spare mounting the weight on the little threaded hole.

Obviously, presumes shooting manual. The flashbender is primarily for bouncing light with a speedlight pointing up. The S-bracket is primarily for attaching a modifier normally aimed at the subject. Physically it fits, but you need to push the speedlight forward and likely lose access to the LCD and manual controls.

i kinda agree with what I think NDA is getting at.

will it work, sure, probably.

but if you are using a stand and a bracket, go ahead and slap a proper modifier on the speedlight. If you have a flash on camera use the flashbender.

The idea was inspired by Cliff Mautner. Since he claimed to rely heavily on it, and having a small one already in my bag, it seems to be a proper modifier.

I also have umbrellas, beauty dish and softbox which all mount onto the Godox S type bracket. But after seeing his examples of using one in a wedding reception setting, I started to ponder also using the flashbender on the same S brackets for less spill of light than the big modifiers or my barn doors.

Just was curious if others had tried it and seen consistency with strapping the flashbender after sliding the flash through the mount.
