Very nice pic. I have been reading about this lens for some time. Still a bit too costly for me but I sure like the results. Nice job.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Nice portrait, crazy looking lens. The lens of theirs that interests me is the 25mm F2.8 2.5-5x as its much lighter than my MPE and image quality as good. An led light should solve the dark viewfinder.

Yeap! but you loose from 1x to 2.5x...if you already have the Mp-e65 I guess its not worth the change

It is for me as I mainly use it for collembola so don't need 1-2x and its much lighter and the smaller diameter will make lighting easier and the lens less obtrusive.
Anyway its coming Thursday ;-)a

Did you diffuse that LED light somehow?

I´ve done a review of this lens at my youtube site (in spanish though), and I really liked it.
Personally the lack of this range (from 1x to 2.5x) is a step back even though Laowa offers their 2x 60mm lens...
If this range suits you then yes, its a lovely lens, with high quality materials and solid construction, a great sharp performer as you can see in the next capture ;)
I´m lovin the Laowa´s, my 15mm ultra wide macro is a must on my bag too!
Have fun!

Excellent, I know video macro work is often done with these lenses, was interested to see how well they work.

Then stay tuned as I´m currently testing it...also for things for which it was not designed :)

Do you have/plan a written blog article on it? I can push that through google translate if needed.

I´m currently doing a video review for my youtube channel (I´m not a video guy, still learning!) in spanish.
Seems like I will have to do another one in english too! ;)
