A little fashion shoot i did the other day. Shot in a small studio during a meet, space was limited so I just had my AD200 on top of my cam. There was natural light, just trying to balance both

It’s a good thing too! She was walking around barefoot and they were extremely dirty

could you speak to that further LtDave? Is it a best practice not to have a portion of the body cutoff in photos like this or..? Just curious, thanks!

my understanding is if youre going to cut off a body part, its best to NOT do it at a joint. i.e. knee, ankle, wrist, elbow...

"amputate" between the joints...

of course if the curtain was draped just so, so her feet were in front of the curtain, maybe all would have been better? not that this isnt good the way it is...

take what i say with a grain of salt. ive only ever shot 2 'glamour/fashion' type sessions...

I like it.
I'm not a fashion or portrait photographer at all. But being perfectly frank, the feet not being shown
doesn't bother me. I would have not noticed if someone didn't mention it.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

The lighting on this gave it a bit of a mellow feel to it. Very nice setting for this capture
