I left a small cheap stand behind at a venue the other weekend, and plan to replace it. Normal use is speedlights, Godox 360 with the battery clamped lower down, and umbrella or bare flash. In case I get a request that requires plane travel, I thought maybe buy one that can fit in my camera bag, or suitcase. One of the small reverse folding models.

Reviews seem more challenging to decipher from Amazon and B&H, possibly due to buyers vague vocabulary.

Do any of you own any of these stands? Any that you like? Dislike? Do you travel with them?

I often like getting a light above 6.5 ft., and that will pertain to my final selection.

Matthews folding reverse.

Think mine are 7.5"

Best thing is they don't have the typical puny spigot top, but essentially a full baby pin.

That sounds close to this Matthews MERF mini ...

B&H lists it 9 pounds capacity, and even less cost than Amazon

This is the one I have. I have two and use them often. They are essentially brand new after probably 7 years use.

The one you posted looks essentially the same except a little less payload and one more riser.
