Hi all,

Just noticed on both my 5D mk II bodies that the time/date are not correct and off about 24 hours in the properties of my RAW files. The only way I can get a correct date/timestamp is to connect the camera to my pc and use the EOS Utility to sync to the computer time before I do a shoot.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Is there a battery in the body that needs to be replaced, or will I need to send to Canon for servicing?

Thanks!

There is a battery for that
you can set it the way you do it, and there is a menu option to set date/time/timezone

set it to the correct time, and check it again a day or so later - if there's a huge gap again, you may need to swap that small battery

each of my camera has a few seconds difference eventually, they don't all quite keep the same time
