I have some video and I just want to quickly and without paying cut bits out of it and save the edited file, using Windows.
Any recommendation on what software to use?

I think Openshot is one of the best freeware editors. It does all the basics just fine, no muss, no fuss. That’s what most people need!

DaVinci Resolve.
Ridiculously good for free.

+1 for Resolve. It's used as an alternative to or replacement for Premiere Pro (it's that good).

If you just want to download and do your edits with no fuss, OpenShot and Blender are both good and free.
