I have not installed it yet............. hmmmm I'm game since my A73 is my casual hobby fun camera!!

I wonder if there is any issues being from Sony Australia? I'm assuming if your in North America you can select NTSC.

I appreciate the heads up on the update. I was wondering when this month it would be. The update went very smoothly and just in time for a birding trip I have planned for this weekend. Now for a little testing out in the yard.

Anyone tried the new 3.0 firmware update only to have it fail? I've tried a dozen times. A dozen different ways with a dozen different cables and I can not for the life of me get the update to take. Ideas? Suggestions???

Sorry to hear you are having the problem. Mine went very smoothly and quickly so I really don't have anything to advise other than follow the directions to a T. Did you get the download done and then have problems?

I'm curious if anyone is seeing improved ISO performance with the 3.0.

No one can comment on this? Since the update my ISO performance is amazing. I'm not doing anything different.

That 'subject detect' feature is amazing. I'm always confusing humans with animals. Now you can just check the screen to find out! :p

try to allow the camera to auto focus without pressing anything. When I do, it focuses automatically on my dogs' eyes however, with a white square, not a green one which is odd because I though real time AF was only for the A9 and the A6500. I have the A7R3
