I bought and used the Peak Design slide for awhile but gave it up. It's a very nice and comfortable strap. I was initially concerned with the metal buckles possibly scratching the LCD on the camera when tucked into the bag, but with some care, that didn't happen.
What got me to quit using it were those thin connectors. I know it's psychological, but seeing my Canon 5DIV and 100-400L ($5,000) dangling by those connectors just bothered me. That, plus I believe Peak Design is on something like the 4th generation of those connectors already and I've read where some have broken with the obvious results. I feel that is something they should have gotten right from the very start and then work on the rest of the strap.
So I'm using an Op-Tech camera strap now. Works fine and I just feel safer with it.

Never crazy about this part of the design, but then I don't take a long trip without a spare set of shoelaces.

I'm not a fan of ANY of Peak Design products. I only went with the Slide Strap because of its easy slide mechanism that allows me to tuck my gear closer to my body above my waist. So far no issues with those thin connectors, but I never liked the design of them.
