CyberDyneSystems Admin (type T-2000) More info | May 09, 2019 15:36 | #17 TeamSpeed wrote in post #18858339 Well it is an obvious answer and since you tried to reply for me, I guess I will provide my retort. 1) 10 fps on both of them 2) 7D2 high ISO is better than the 1D4 3) 7D2 pixel density lends itself to better IQ once it is resized down, or the 1D4 is resized up 4) Dual cards 5) AF is very close 6) 7D2 has better low light acquisition and lock 7) 7D2 has lower/cleaner shadow noise in underexposed areas when shadows are pulled up 8) 7D2 is still being serviced by Canon, 1D4 is past its end of life So factually speaking, yes the 7D2 is exactly in the same league as the 1D4 (and betters the 1D4 in some areas) technically and cost-wise, and they are often compared. Now whether one is able to actually make the 7D2 work for they want, there are only 3 things that matter there: - individual skill in processing files, and the raw processor/tools used - glass must be able to resolve to such a pixel density - good copy of 7D2 vs bad Only one of these factors are attributable to the 7D2, the other two are the responsibility of the owner. That is the completely unbiased and unemotional comparison, but also one driven by personal experience and first hand knowledge. ![]()

I own the 1DIV and LOVE it. It's my dream camera and it just does not let me down. I have multiple bodies and my 1D4/1Ds3 are my current combo primary.

I've seen less than stellar images from newer bodies like the 7d2, but that doesn't mean the camera is bad. I know, I posted some of them. ![]() True. 6D|7D|7DMKII|Nikon D750|Nikon 85 F1.8|Nikon D5500|G15| Gripped|300F4|35F2IS|85 F1.8|135L F2|200L F2.8|17-55 F2.8|70-200L F2.8 MKII|430EX|

May 27, 2019 18:11 | #23 I'll take the 10 year old technology no problem. Some of us aren't pros and aren't going to spend 5 or 6k on a camera. Every one of my 1D's have been purchased used at a fraction of the new cost.

A little more action practice. Works well with portraits also.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/2g2iQHo R6~ ef100-400 II L~ Canon 1.4 extender III~ Canon 100mm 2.8 L Makro~Tamron 24-70 2.8 G2~ Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2~ Tamron 85mm 1.8~IRIX 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone~Lee filters

Little rich coming from a guy who's gallery consists of a plane and eight shots of the same car, just in different colours.
