Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is The Letter "M". As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Show us stuff that starts with the Letter "M"

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Morel Mushrooms,

In this shot the Morel in focus is delicious, the little brown mushroom probably deadly if eaten.

You're so lucky to have morels where you live. I'd kill for those. Occasionally they are available in an upscale grocery store at astronomical prices...argh.

Renata, believe me I understand. We have not had a good year for quite some time, this year may be a good one. I only hunt them on land I own which limits me somewhat. They have only began to grow on my farms however some folks are finding buckets of them, the price varies from $45 for a quart bag, cleaned and sliced in two or $65 for a gallon straight from the woods. If I keep track of the miles walked they really are not too high at those prices.

Steve, I totally understand why they cost a small fortune. When I lived around Chicago they grew on my property. I was lucky to get a dozen some years, enough to treat my family to a fantastic meal but they don;t grow in TX where I live...well, one can't have it all.

Moth, have no idea what kind. This was my first shot one hour after the 7D2 arrived at my house. Shot in jpeg because I forgot to check all the settings. I don't like reading instructions so Terry you should come visit to give me hands on training while we look for Morels,:-)

Steve, you are off to a good start. Great your 7D2 finally showed up. I think it would be fun to be out your way shooting.ߘ

Steve, that's a pretty moth. I can't identify it, either. Never seen one like that, and I've looked at plenty of moth pictures.
