My G1X has stopped functioning (camera turns on and takes photos, but no menu buttons function) is it worth repairing?
I also have 2 G9s that no longer function, I hate to just toss them out, any suggestions?

Difficult to tell without more details. Has it been damaged physically? Dropped?

Have you tried a new battery and/or memory card? They don't last for ever.

The G9s should probably go to a camera graveyard but the G1X should be worth some first aid. Try the Canon Support pages for the G1X (external link)

I have tried both, the G1X turns on and takes photos, wit the menus buttons on the back no longer function.
The G9 just stopped working altogether, if anyone wants a good deL on a Canon UW housing for the G9 and some extra batteries, let me know

Contact Canon. On the older models they have a flat rate but relative to value, you'll have to decide if it is worth it. I'd dropped my G6 and in this instance it was mainly cosmetic based. They replaced the outer cover and adjusted the bent left access door. While there it was function checked and sent back. It came back in near new condition almost like a refurb. They did offer the option towards a discount on another camera too.

Sometimes I miss the G9 and G15, those were nice little cameras back when Canon equipped them with a good feature set.
