Digital Speed Challenge #547: Up Close and Personal

Ed's entry in the last contest got me thinking about close-ups. Show me your close in shots. Doesn't have to be macro. Just some close focus shots.

The challenge begins when posted, and will end on Monday, May 13, 2019 at midnight Central Time. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter. (Or more likely, the next morning.)

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Commenting: Please, NO COMMENTING DURING CHALLENGE feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.

Leaf in the sun (Volna 50mm f2.8 macro lens M42 mount @f8)

Plant life seems to be the preferred subject in this one. But for me it came down to a virtual toss up between Lesley's bird and Ed's spider. I'm going to give the edge to Lesley's bird shot because it fits the theme in two ways. It's a close in shot and the person in the image is getting up close and personal with the bird. Ed's spider shot is stellar and deserves applause as well. I'll give third to OldCrow's Spring trillium.

Thanks, Mark! I thought one of the flower shots or the spider would have the honors. Well done to all who played this week. I thought it was a super idea for a challenge, so nice job there also, Mark.
