Wonderful images, Ian. Both worthy of that gold cup!

As to the Likes, they seem to be doing quite a bit of harm as they replaced comments to a large extent and without comments there is no real communication between people any more. I wouldn't mind to see the Like button go.

Exactly so, Levina; well said.

I had just arrived at the home of a fox family when Mom decided it was meal time. It was quite a sight, with not quite enough room at the dinner table.

Thanks Ian, nice to "meet" you as well.

I haven't searched for it but no doubt the introduction of "likes" was discussed at length and whilst this isn't really the place to say too much on the subject, what I do think is maybe on some threads e.g. birds again, it probably is of limited use now. Apart from not making many comments on that thread, when I'm playing catch-up after not visiting for a while, I start making a few likes but then give up as there are too many images that warrant one and it starts to get a bit meaningless, particularly as it's pretty obvious (well to me) which ones are worthy of a like. There are a number of threads like that, mainly birds!

I'll shut up now, but again, fantastic photographs of the foxes.

Now, *that's* a dog pile! Great shots, Iam; totally jealous of you folks that have regular access to these guys. They never show when I wander out the places we're *supposed* to have them ;)

Thanks for sharing that insight, Ian! As a relative newbie getting interested in bird and wildlife photography, I've always looked up to you,Britt and your work has always been a gold standard to aspire to emulate.

It is indeed true that clicking the like button is so much easier, but then eliminates the dialog and interaction that a comment can generate. I'll make sure to type more and click less from now on.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks very much. I think there were 7 kits in this family. It was tough on the mother as in this case, the father left town once the kits arrived and he didn’t contribute to the job of food gathering.
