I'm heading out this weekend and was going on a motorcycle, but it looks like I'll be dodging thunderstorms for a few days. So I'm thinking of driving instead. If so, I won't be spending time on curvy back roads as originally planned. I'm thinking, in addition to some Civil War battlefields, I might hit some wildlife management areas or parks with the good chances of seeing critters.

Any suggestions? At this point I'm heading to Shiloh and Chickamauga/Chattanooga Battlefields. The rest is open.

Thanks, already home. I was at Clingmans dome when there was a sighting of bears. Had fun talking to the rangers and they actually spotted two. They were down the hill and in shadows so no luck on good shots, but a fun day.
