First off; great job on a first shot....good exposure and detail. To expand on the post above, if you shoot at less than full phases the sun will be hitting the surface at harder angles, giving you more shadows to pull out some of the surface details from and helps give a slightly "punchier' result. If intending to shoot a "full" moon (get the whole disk) it helps to time your shoot 2-3 days on either side of 'actual' full as you can still take advantage of that off axis lighting.
Also, I would suggest at least trying out a higher ISO (200-400) and bumping your shutter speed to help resist softening of your shot from movement...you may have noticed that little ba@#$ moves across your field of view FAST at that focal length
