Any tips and C&C would be greatly appreciated.

I took this last night and the actual full moon here will be Saturday. That being said, the weather here has been terrible and when I look up last night the sky was very clear; so I took a shot.

I'm hoping for some tips for my next try. Taken in Manual mode 1/125 sec. f/11 ISO 100

I think you did an excellent job! Manual mode is the only way to shoot the moon in my opinion.

I am sure you will get more ideas from others with much more experience than what I have.

I prefer to shoot at less than full phases, and also like to get something else in the frame if possible. My avatar is an example of both.

First off; great job on a first shot....good exposure and detail. To expand on the post above, if you shoot at less than full phases the sun will be hitting the surface at harder angles, giving you more shadows to pull out some of the surface details from and helps give a slightly "punchier' result. If intending to shoot a "full" moon (get the whole disk) it helps to time your shoot 2-3 days on either side of 'actual' full as you can still take advantage of that off axis lighting.

Also, I would suggest at least trying out a higher ISO (200-400) and bumping your shutter speed to help resist softening of your shot from movement...you may have noticed that little ba@#$ moves across your field of view FAST at that focal length ;)

Looks fine to me. Sharp, nicely exposed, good detail.
