WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 661 - Doors

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Doors. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.


There is an entire thread for this theme, but we are going to spend the week looking at Doors... Show us your Doors!

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

Here is my Jeep door I just captured while at the beach

Man, I wish I were on that beach, John. It looks really lovely and inviting. I'm not complaining though as we're having some lovely days here and I've been crawling through fields to shoot birds.

So my hallway is very long and has 8 doors opening and closing all kinds of spaces. Not easy to shoot.
I first tried it with the 50mm. I like the light in this pic.

But, the 50m of course shortens the background, so I took another with the Samyang and it is better in that regard and gives a bit more realistic view of how that hallway is, even though I did take it from about half way in...

I just got back and now I am sunburned but enjoyed it though. First time I edited a photo I took with my Cell Phone

Yup 6.5 years ago already, its ok for South Point but absolutely needed for Green Sand beach

That picture radiates the idea of getting out and spending time relaxing. I think having the door open contributes.

The scene implies a huge apartment, but I suppose some of the spaces are closets, utility areas, and so forth. It all looks so clean and modern.

This has doors, too. I was lucky that it came along while I was walking there.

Well, one door is a closet with the meters (gas, light, water, etc.), one is the w.c., one goes to a big internal storage space, one to a big bathroom. Then there are a couple of bedrooms and the door on the right is the entrance to the apartment. I took the shots from the entrance to the living room (so that's behind me but visible in the first pic). The door to the large master bedroom (far left) swings in so isn't visible in the pics. But yeah, the apartment is new, quite nice and rather spacious.
