Fixed-Lens Photo Challenge #032: Bells and Whistles

To submit, click the button labeled "POST TO THREAD" and put your photo title in the first line of the post, above your photo. Your camera brand and model must appear in the post. Include additional EXIF data, if you like.

Enter just one photo.

Took awhile but I finally found my whistle. Hasn't seen the light of day in years.

RESULTS

First of all, thank you both for posting. I'd thought this was an easy theme, as the world is full of noisemakers: musical instruments, bells on cats, bells on cows, wind chimes, cuckoo clocks, birds, music boxes, alarms, doorbells, phones, electronic things that beep, radios, music players, tuning forks (short list). Still, only two members stepped up, a surprise in view of the high turnout last time.

I like both photos but in different ways. Ties aren't allowed, unfortunately, and I'm giving first place to Martin and second place to Don.

I had a terrible time finding something that was picture worthy. Plus my grandson had my camera most of the week for graduation pictures with his school buddies so I was limited.
Congratulations to Martin! I will jump back in here pronto.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Kudos to Martin and OldCrow. I had one image that would have fit the theme, but it was shot with my 6D.

Which leads me to a question about "fixed" lens cameras. I just picked up a Sony RX10 Mk IV. Technically it's a fixed lens camera as the lens is not removable/changeable. However, the 24-600mm lens is incredible and puts this camera squarely on par with any DSLR. Is it still going to be allowed in the fixed lens contest? I assume there is a separate fixed lens section because of the supposedly inherent quality differences between fixed lens (aka, Point-and-Shoot) cameras as opposed to their DSLR counterparts. That difference seems to be disappearing.

Thoughts?

I do not see why not. My SX50 covers 24-1200mm.

So that's how you get those landscapes! My G15 has only 5x optical zoom, digital zoom being worthless. Nevertheless, I can't see creating another gear category for weekly challenges or excluding cameras that are "too DSLR-ish."
