Digital Speed Challenge #561 -- Peeling/Cracked Paint

This week's challenge is Peeling/Cracked Paint. Your subject this week should contain paint that is peeling or cracked from age. This should appeal to photogs that shoot old or abandoned structures but there can be other subjects too that qualify.

The challenge begins when posted, and will end on Monday, June 10, 2019 at midnight EDT. The winner will be announced Tuesday morning.

CHALLENGE RULES:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible but photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Comments: Please, NO COMMENTS DURING CHALLENGE feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
9. Have questions? PM me.
10. Have FUN!

Thanks for the submissions everyone, I enjoyed looking at each of them! Three submissions jumped out at me as front-runners:

OldCrow – “Cracked Paint” – That shot is chock-full of cracked/peeling goodness! The eye is drawn to the center of the photo where focus is sharpest.

Dilorenzo1954 – “PARTLY SUNNY” – The bright green window definitely qualifies as peeling and I liked the addition of the sun ornament which added more visual interest to the shot. Cute title too!

InPhoto – “Fence” – I chuckled when I saw that one big “peel”, good choice of subject! I would have liked the shot even more if the cars were cropped out on the left.

I had a tough time deciding between these shots but I’m going to go with PARTLY SUNNY. Congratulations Ed!
