The Sigma scored 10 (points?) higher sharpness than the Canon on DXOMARK (that was center sharpness only I think, the Siggy is worse on the corners). Does anyone have any real world hands on comparison experience with these?

SMP_Homer Cream of the Crop More info | I suspect the L would be faster / more accurate on most bodies.... but on the R, everything is dead accurate EOS R6’ / 1D X / 1D IV (and the wife has a T4i)

In the same way, the position of the zoom ring on each lens could be a deciding factor in which one prefers. For that reason I went with the Sigma, and certainly have been satisfied with focus speed and accuracy on all bodies I've used it on so far (mostly a 70D and a 6D). Apricane flickr
