Finally got a chance to get with Alicia for some shots. We went to a local historical hotel last week. These were taken in the courtyard.

You can see some more here: www.pbase.com/jriggy4439/menger_courtyard (external link)

C&C always welcome.

I really like the last one. Was there a lot of direct sunlight? There are a lot of hotspots but otherwise great shots.

Lovely photos of a lovely girl. I think the colour (and pattern) of the dress works well with the greens of the plants in the background.

Thanks Char. Actually it was an overcast day. I used my flash with a diffueser. I am still trying to learn when to use flash and when not too. I noticed the hotspots and tried to minimize them in photoshop. I'm not really that good in post processing.

Thanks Kev. The last one just might go into her portfolio.

Funny you should mention that they look a little too sharp. After I resized them I was afraid that they would be too soft so I sharpen them again. I have a 19 inch monitor and it is hard for me to tell if they are soft or sharp when they are this small.

The first two were at f4.0, the third at f5.6, and the last at f5.0. I had used my kit lens for these. Why, I still don't know.

Great series Art. I know what you mean about using a flash. I have a hard time using flash myself. You seem to do well with yours though. Your pictures are always nice when you view them. Wish I had some one we could shoot all the time. I mean of age...not my little "Top Model". hahahahaha

Thanks Dooglla. These weren't my best photos as these were taken when I started to get series about portraits. We have been taken a lot of photos the past 3 weeks and doing another one this weekend. I have been getting a lot of practice and I hope it shows in the future.
