Like in the top right quadrant of the shot. Overall though, I really like it. Canon 20D W/ Grip

Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes. There's a kind of rightness and wrongness and sometimes I like rightness and sometimes I like wrongness. Diane Arbus

Last year I had to leave for work 2 hours BEFORE the actual parade began Thanks for the comments everybody. The reason for the dark picture is my "if it doesn't add to, it detracts from the picture" philosophy. By making it black achieves 2 things: 1) increases the contrast between the lines and the asphalt. 2) removes the detail/contrast from everything else This way the viewer is forced to look at the lines. It also might be black because I think I calibrated my monitor at night and then increased the brightness forgetting to adjust it back. But that's unlikely. ![]() Our parade is one of the largest in the UK i missed it last year as i was away, but i intend to be here for it this year. Ideal event for street photography I don't know what good composition is.... I like the dark tone of the pic, gives a somewhat gloomy city feel. I'd like to see the pic directly posted here though, easier than clicking a link. Pio
