In a nutshell, the main factor in my decision to quit.

Helen, I support your decision if it was based around something that you felt was wrong or that the company was incorrectly promoting.
I know my support doesn't really mean much, but I left a job for a similar reason and I am happy I did. I hope your next move works out well for you.
Thank you being a support to us here, and I hope you stay with us :-)

interesting.

the overzealous tracking pissed me off too, but rather than complain i just stopped searching adorama and go with BH instead. I had purchased from both in the past, but this definitely has pushed me toward BH.

Helen, sorry you chose to leave, BUT it seems your prior employer had its ups and downs, I had been caught up in the whirlwind blaze they caused, and they depended on you to put out the fires, you had helped me before, wish you well in your new ventures.............

Thanks For looking.....Darrell C

This thread bums me out. If I buy something from Adorama again who’s name do I use in the drop down menu for customer service?

Land somewhere good Helen. You can use this thread in your resume. ߘ

I really don't know; only the actual salesmen get 'recognition' from the dropdown menu!

I don't think it has anything with taking the heat. I think it's being smart enough to get the hell out of Dodge when somebody keeps pouring gas on the fire!!!

I bought my 6D from Adorama because of you. Not that you actually helped me with something but because I knew if I had a problem I could call on you.

Best wishes to you, Helen.

Camping onto Ed's quote. I bought because of you, knowing you would handle it if I had a problem. They (A) will miss you. I guess B&H will get all of my purchases.
All the best to you. Nas.

Hopefully Nancy Miller will join POTN and fill Helen's shoes here! :D

I'm late to the game because I have not been around for awhile. Sorry to hear about your departure.

Why no go and work for B&H?:-

I’m sorry, too. But aside from missing you all, all round I’m much happier (less stressed....).
The Adorama HR Director was stalking me on LinkedIn a couple of weeks ago - wonder why?

B&H has Henry - and a couple of other excellent guys.....and to the best of my knowledge, embraced the importance of striving for excellence in service to customers right across all aspects of the business long ago.
Last Friday I applied for a similar role for a winery - I’m confident that if it’s meant to be, it will happen

Stalking you? Wow.
Sounds as if they regret your departure in some big ways.

As for the winery?
Send them to this thread, as was suggested. It'll be your golden ticket in.

Please continue to grace us with your presence Helen, and know that your efforts
have formed some loyalties which are steadfast. Tell us which winery you land on,
and we'll be sure to buy a few bottles just because you're part of the operation.
