I also prefer the smiling photos as well and I would expect that most people would but I also like to capture a variety of moods and expressions especially since my subject matter is a lot of the same. It’s not that I ask them to smile or not to smile. I set them up and shoot, sometimes just testing the lighting and they do their thing as I shoot and then I act silly to make them laugh or smile. Thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate it

Big sisters meeting baby earlier this month. I hope she keeps that cool blue/grey eye color.

Was shooting bees when the oldest came over with pollen smeared all over her nose...the macro does good portraits
