Took the opportunity last week to "get lost" in the prairies of Kansas.

I'm sure that is a most interesting area to explore. I've only ever just driven through it, late one evening, on the freeway, but the Flint Hills have a singular feel. I caught a glimpse of a Short-eared Owl hunting in the dusk and it's perfect memory of the place. Thanks for posting.
