Weeks of shooting in my backyard, and this is the first I see if this one
Jay/cardinal relate red wingtips and yellow tail have me puzzled
Southwestern Ontario canada

Cedar waxwing indeed,. if you can figure out where they like to hang out, get some shots while you can (they seem to be always moving on... at least around where I live )
Simply stunning birds to photograph,. they are gorgeous.

Also, despite the fact that your shots were fleeting moments, I've been trying to get a shot that shows the red "wax" t the wingtips in vain for years. You may not have the best shots, but YOU GOT THE RED BITS! Clear as day! It does not always show. (in my case, never)

I almost didn't shoot this one... was about to pack stuff away, and it looked like something else really common around here ... but the yellow on the tail is what caught my attention... never this guy around here before, or since....

There's a cardinal... maybe more than one - that keeps coming around, and I always see him when I'm not outside, or outside doing other stuff.... as soon as I grab a camera, he (or she) is gone! But I can always hear it, from a yard or 2 away
