This week's challenge is OLD SCHOOL . With today's crowd wanting the latest and greatest electronic toy, I thought it would be fun to reminisce about older technology and mechanical gadgets from our not to distant past. Think VCR's, dial telephones, typewriters and such. Let your imagination fly!!
The challenge begins when posted and will end on Monday, July 15, 2019 at midnight MDT. The winner will be announced on the following Tuesday morning.

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed (not just DSLR).
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible but photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Comments: Please, NO COMMENTS DURING CHALLENGE! Feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
9. Have questions? PM me.
10. Have FUN!
* THE WINNER ALWAYS SETS THE THEME FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE, POSTS IT AND JUDGES IT - BE PREPARED! A new challenge should be posted ASAP after you have been declared the winner.

This is how hay used to be stored - in stacks on stone 2mushrooms to keep rodents at bay.

Thank you for participating!
Before announcing the winner, here are a few comments...

Old typebar-just whistle (Lesley):
I like how you isolated the key by fading the surrounding image. I would have thought that you would have picked an "L"...;)

An oldie but goodie-OldCrow (Don):
Oldie indeed! The almost monochronistic processing and the addition of slides was a nice touch!

Party Line- rwmson (Roger):Wow! No speed dialing on this baby :P. I like that the dust and grime add additional
"age".

Hay storage- Stiga (Martin) Very interesting! What kept the rodents at bay though? The mushrooms? Here in Chicago rats and mice jump! Nice image.

I'm going to give this one to Roger, this comes the closest to what I was looking for! I almost want to drop a quarter and call 1957...
HM to Don!
Thanks again for participating, Take it away Roger!

<victory dance> :-D
Thanks Ed, I'm glad you liked my photo. It was shot in a speakeasy in the basement of White Hill Mansion in Fieldsboro, NJ in near total darkness. Tripod, long exposure and light painting with a flashlight to provide the illumination. I hope everyone enjoys the next theme that I'm about to post.

yeah, I gots some stuff.
