Question on Jpeg compression engines in DSLR Cameras

I have a question, i noticed that the JPEG created by cameras like canon 1100D nikon D3100 are very detailed and nice. But i find the Jpegs in newer cameras to be lacking the same quality..

Is it just me or are in camera JPEG engines going down in quality due to more raw shooters.

Dont want to start a Jpeg vs Raw debate though...:-)

All depends on how you set them up, which style you choose, how much noise reduction you apply, and more. Shooting raw has zero to do with camera jpeg settings.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point..
