I doubt there are pricing errors. Just like these errors never happen on large items that require freight, etc. It is a business tactic. And it works. They're not losing money at all, instead, they're making more.

Very best,

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet, amazon does not sell the canon $13000 800mm Adorama does, they ship and sell the lens that amazon advertises, they would not honor the price that the people are claiming in the article

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Example of someone bragging about their haul due to a price glitch. https://www.reddit.com …rom_the_prime_day_glitch/ (external link)

$13k Sony 600mm f4 is what they are talking about, from what I’ve read.

None of this is verifiable and I don't understand how/why you are all getting your panties in a wad. We've all encountered someone that has had a better deal than the next guy (ask the guy on the next sun lounger how much he paid for his holiday), if you've been to Tenerife, someone's been to Elevenerife etc. Example, hey guys I just walked in to a Ferrari dealership and got a car for a buck 95! I'd post a pic but I don't have my cell on me. If you still think she got five EF 800s at that price, I have some magic beans...

Did you even click on the link I posted? They have a picture of their 16 thousand dollar haul, read the comments. I can’t believe how badly society has devolved where people will shamelessly brag about ripping off a company. People might have been fired over this.

Yes, and there isn’t a 800mm, they bought camera kits, which were probably $94.48, but they did not post a screenshot of what they were charged.

You can’t automatically believe everything you read.

Most of the original article is made up, it’s not true.

I never once mentioned an 800mm lens and there are lots of people on the internet bragging about ripping off Amazon, some are showing screenshots of what they paid. There is even a screenshot in the comments from one person in the link I posted.

What I believe is a lot of people have no shame.

I think you're right.
Well, I ended up with some shame after losing my cool trying to negotiate returning a Mac Book Pro BnH sent me by mistake.
Keeping the MacBook, for which I paid $100, was not something I had to ponder though.

I think both parties contributed to making an ordeal out of something that should have been sorted fast with little fuss.
It did make me think that they did not have much experience handling honesty.

What do you base that on? First-hand knowledge?

The photography related items that sold for under $100, whether whole kits, bodies only, or lenses, were only sold and shipped by Amazon. This all happened with the first opening minutes of the Prime Day event at 12am Pacific Time. Third party vendors, selling the same exact items, were not affected by the pricing glitch. It all happened very quickly. Within minutes after it was discovered, Amazon only prices for the same items, suddenly went back to normal. I did witness it, first-hand. The reduced prices, from what I've read, were only seen by actual Prime members only. Non-Prime members never saw the reduced prices.

What did Amazon lose? Nothing Jeff makes billions he will need write offs. What better way to do it then to reward his own customers for it! To,those that don't follow stocks one amazon share is over $1800 now. Was $2000 a couple days ago. Enjoy your low price items
