Hoping I can get some info here...I'll be up that way this weekend and plan on shooting late Monday night. I have Photopills and can get a close idea as to where the band will be at various times...but I need help on finding an ideal location to shoot so I can get the mountain in the foreground.

I know in Texas and CDT, the band is pretty high at 10PM . Up there...this time of year, it will be super late before it gets totally dark. I'm hoping to scout out a location Saturday morning when I arrive but do I need to plan on shooting from the NW side or the SE side of the mountain?

Any input would be appreciated.

Tony
I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.
