My wife and I work heavily in dog rescue and foster between 50 and 100 dogs each year. We have four permanent "house dogs", three of whom are rescues...

Holly - 56 pound goldendoodle

Good for them, but I can't imagine having four females. Sorry, I missed Oliver. Never let the cute fool you! Holly looks like a real sweetheart.

Great photos and great hearts!!!! Good work!

I do believe, though, that Robin is the mastermind of this gang...with that smirk on her face you'd better keep your eye on that girl!!!

The four house dogs and whatever rescue dogs we foster have one great advantage. As a deputy sheriff, who adopted one of our rescue dogs stated, "You have the very best burglar alarm you could ever have. Unless you had a high value target in your home, no robber would ever target you when he could hit your next door neighbor who doesn't have your canine burglar alarm" :p

Thanks for saving dogs, I have taken in a few strays over the years and know how expensive it can be. Last stray I took in was pregnant and had 13 puppies, the mom died when the puppies were about 4 1/2 weeks old from Pyometra, the Vet tried to save her but she didn't survive the night. That group of dogs was a $5K expense alone, I can't imagine what it costs to take in 50 to 100 dogs. Thanks again.
