I'm doing a modelshoot tomorrow at the beach on the rocks, I tested my gear a while ago with strobe & HSS
I found it a bit unhandy placing my tripod with strobe between the rocks, I think I would concentrate more on the model without this.

I have no assistant for a reflector, but I have a rogue flash bender to put on my flash (never tested it before, see link below).

Would this be an option ?

I like this photographer here, do you think he uses natural light or strobe/flash and are there any other photographers that do shoots like this on the beaches ?

I will use my 50 Art / 85 Art & 70-200 2.8L II, it's a lot of switching lenses, but the 50 @ f1.4 has probably a lot more dreamy bokeh than the 70 @ f2.8 :-)
Probably some shots @ 200mm also, although this is rather far away from the model...

Go early, or late, as with mid-day, you will need lots of flash to overpower the Sun. The photog u listed looks like they shoot with all natural light, as do I. Used to carry lots of lights, but, that became tedious, so, just use the Sun now.

GL!

We will arrive around 10:15 AM (high tide 11:30), maybe we'll have some luck with the sea splashing against the rocks :)
I would like to go late, but sundown is very late and models with a partner don't want to stay so late probably...
